Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings’ Nephew Shot Dead
Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings’ nephew was killed Friday morning at his off-campus apartment near Old Dominion University in Virginia.
Described as a random shooting, Rep. Cummings nephew Christopher Cummings died at the scene, while his roommate Jake Carey his roommate who was also shot, survived. Carey is in critical condition.
“My family and I remain in shock over the news of the random shooting that took the life of my nephew,” Cummings said Sunday in a statement.
