Ron Artest Wins NBA Citizenship Award
LOS ANGELES – Lakers Forward, Ron Artest, who was suspended for nearly a whole season for fighting with fans in the stands seven years ago, was given the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award from the Professional Basketball Writers Association.
Last year, Artest auctioned off his 2010 NBA Champioship ring for mental health awareness and has been an advocate for young people with mental health issues.
