Sacramento Kings Heading To Anaheim?
Announcer Cries As Kings Possibly Play Last Game In Sacramento
Sacramento Kings fans will likely bid farewell to their beloved underdog basketball team as it heads to new digs in Anaheim. In what many speculate would be the team’s final game, the Kings refused to lay down quietly for the Los Angeles Lakers as the matchup went into overtime.
Though the Kings fell eight points short of a dramatic upset their fans, players, and staff remained seated in Arco Arena long after the buzzer concluded the game.
Each with over twenty seasons under their respective belts, veteran Kings announcers Grant Napear Jerry Reynolds issued teary goodbyes as the equally emotional crowd chanted their names in the background.
The NBA is set to hold a meeting today to discuss the move to Anaheim. A majority of owners must approve any team relocation and it is unlikely that Lakers and Clippers owners would want the Kings edging in on their turf.
