PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — Former Haitian dictator Jean-Claude ‘Baby Doc’ Duvalier was checked into a hospital on Wednesday night for chest pains.

No further details have emerged of Duvalier’s hospital admittance or the severity of his condition. A family friend who was at the hospital said doctors planned more tests, and Duvalier should be released after two days.
