Qaddafi Makes First Public Appearance Since Air Strikes
TRIPOLI — Muammar Gaddafi made his first public appearance since air strikes on his forces began, pledging that he will not surrender and calling the international coalition against him a “bunch of fascists”.

President Barack Obama has said the United States is days away from handing over control of the operation to its allies, but confusion remains as to the extent of the mission and the responsibilities of the various countries involved.
