Morehouse Student Sues Usher For Rights To Song
Atlanta, GA– A Morehouse student has filed a lawsuit to reclaim 100 percent control rights to a song he claims he wrote for Usher. The suit filed Monday said Glasper was a “young, inexperienced college student, hoping to work in the music industry and was vulnerable” when he signed the contract on Oct. 30, 2009.
According to the suit filed in DeKalb County Superior Court, Kameron Glasper, who also goes by the name Kam Parker, is a “struggling singer-songwriter” who signed away half interest in songs he promised to deliver to Legendary Poets Music Publishing.
The suit said Glasper agreed to write a total of 10 songs, including “Monster”.
